Hi everyone, a testing day today, with the breeze out of the North West.
Not an ideal direction for our lake. We looked at a Windward return course to start with but opted for a Triangle, Sausage set-up after the first few races. The breeze was light, varying between 5-10knots.
'A' Rigs being the right choice today.
Jason Furnell handled the starting and scoring today, thanks Jason. But he also took the control of several yachts over the afternoon, giving him a look and feel for the various designs at the club. His Britpop! is currently at Sherriff Panel and Paint for a refurbish.
It was an afternoon of close sailing, we got through without any rain, so that was a very big plus. Think everyone enjoyed an afternoon in the fresh air.
Probably don't say it enough, but thanks to our 'property manager', Chris Aberle who ensures all the gear is ready for use each fortnight and thanks also to Ken Prince for the charging of the boat batteries.
Ian Sherriff topped the list today, well sailed Ian, with Peter Buchanan a single point behind, Andrew Brady a few points behind in 3rd. Tight sailing!
See you all in a fortnight!
